Hope taught creative writing at Hendrix College from 1993 to 2025. As Director of the Hendrix-Murphy Foundation, she oversaw an array of literary and language-related programming, including its core initiative, the Murphy Scholars Program in Literature and Language. Through this program, students from all majors who share a passion for literature or language gain mentorship and resources to pursue their dream projects in those areas.
